Meet Tara Quirke, Lamprey Health Care's Practice Manager in the Raymond site. Her role is vital as she oversees operations, manage staff, and coordinate patient care. LHC: Tell us a little about yourself. Where did you grow up? How did you get here?
Tara: I grew up in Revere MA. I moved up here with my husband and son about 20 years ago, with my husband’s family to Epping, then we moved to Raymond and had our other son. I’ve been married for 22 years, we have 2 adult sons, 2 dogs, 2 birds and a snake.
LHC: What do you like most about working at Lamprey Health Care?
Tara: The Staff! I love the people I work with. We are all here with the same goal in mind… to help our patients.
LHC: Did you always want to work in healthcare? What would you do if you weren't doing this?
Tara: I knew I wanted to work in an office setting. My first office job was for an electrical supply company through a work study program during my senior year of high school. After some college, I worked in the accounting department of a grocery chain of 12 stores in Mass. From there I moved up here and eventually found my home at Lamprey. I’ve been here for 18 years now!
LHC: What are some of your favorite things to do outside of work?
Tara: Spending time with my family and new grandson and relaxing after a long week of working.
LHC: What advice would you give to others to be healthy?
Tara: I’m not great with this myself, I don’t think I eat terribly. I would like to be more active, but can’t seem to get myself going. I just want to relax and be lazy on the weekends, but then I also complain about being stuck in the house doing nothing. So I guess what everyone says… Eat Healthy and Be active!
