Co-Chief Executive Officer

Sue joined Lamprey Health Care in 2018 and was named Chief Executive Officer in August 2023. She is a Registered Nurse with 25 years of experience in nursing and administration.

Mr. White has been with Lamprey Health Care as its CEO since 2013, and joined the organization with many years of experience working in Federally Qualified Health Centers.

Kate Bonafede is the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Lamprey Health Care. Kate joined the clinic in 2011 to support the mission of providing high-quality care independent of financial means.

Terri joined Lamprey Health Care in 2019 and is the Chief Operating Officer. Terri has over 20 years of experience in the management and operations of community healthcare and dental care.

Director of Southern NH Area Health Education Center

Dr. Smith has led activities of the Southern New Hampshire Area Health Education Center, a program of Lamprey Health Care, since its inception in 1998.

Board of Directors

A community-based Board of Directors comprised of patients and local citizens dedicated to our communities’ health and well-being provides governance to Lamprey Health Care. A Director of the board is a voluntary role and is appointed based on an individual’s ability to represent the community’s interests and to provide expertise, input, and oversight of the services that form the mission of Lamprey Health Care.

The Board of Directors meets monthly and is responsible for guiding the agency in overall fiscal, legal, and policy issues. It is our policy that a majority of our Board Members be patients of Lamprey Health Care.

Words From Our Board

Sue Durkin Co-CEO

Sue Durkin (she/her), MS, RN, CPHQ

Co-Chief Executive Officer

Sue joined Lamprey Health Care in 2018 and was named Chief Executive Officer in August 2023. She is a Registered Nurse with 25 years of experience in nursing and administration. Focusing primarily on community health, she has extensive experience leading teams in program development, operations, quality, and risk management. She has a particular interest in developing services for vulnerable populations. Sue has a Master of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from the University of Colorado at Boulder, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the College of the Holy Cross, and an Associate of Science degree in Nursing from Rivier University. She serves on the Advisory Board for the Women in Leadership Program at the University of Vermont, Grossman School of Business. Sue is also a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ). She has served on a number of community boards and is an active Board Member for Yoga in Action.

Gregory White

Co-Chief Executive Officer

Mr. White has been with Lamprey Health Care as its CEO since 2013, and joined the organization with many years of experience working in Federally Qualified Health Centers. For three decades Mr. White has been committed to the mission of Community Health Centers, previously serving as Chief Financial Officer for the Lowell Community Health Center, in Lowell, MA and Manchester Community Health Center in Manchester, NH.

 
Mr. White is a Certified Public Accountant and attended Babson College where he received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He has achieved the Certified Health Financial Professional designation from the Healthcare Financial Management Association and has been involved in numerous non-profit agencies in the Southern NH area.

 
Mr. White has recently been the Board Chair of Bi-State Primary Care Association and actively serves on the Boards of Directors for Community Health Access Network, SHARE Outreach, the Kaley Foundation and Milford Historical Society. He has previously served as an adjunct instructor at the Paul School at the University of New Hampshire and has been a volunteer EMT and staff officer with Milford Ambulance Service. He resides in Milford with his wife Michelle.

Kate Bonafede Chief Medical Officer

Kate Bonafede (she/her), MD

Chief Medical Officer

Kate Bonafede is the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Lamprey Health Care. Kate joined the clinic in 2011 to support the mission of providing high-quality care independent of financial means.

In her role as CMO, she continues to further Lamprey Health Care’s mission to provide high-quality, evidence-based care and best practices while fostering an effective and sustainable office culture. Initiatives have included creating a greater connection between the clinic administration, medical staff, state and national experts, and, most importantly, the community.

Born in New Hampshire, Kate is involved in many community activities, including serving on the Brentwood town school board and coaching youth soccer and ice hockey.

She is a graduate of the University of Rochester in upstate New York, where she played collegiate soccer and studied environmental science and biology. After college, she worked for the University as an international health culture researcher at sites that included the Dominican Republic, India, and Antarctica. She attended Dartmouth Medical School and, upon graduation, was a resident at Lawrence Family Medicine Residency in Lawrence, MA.

Proficient in Spanish, as well as, studying French and American Sign Language, Kate has a keen interest in the connection of culture and environment related to health outcomes.

She is currently a resident of Brentwood, New Hampshire where she lives with her four children and husband. As a family, they are in the middle of a multi-year DIY farm restoration.

Terri Burdick COO

Terri joined Lamprey Health Care in 2019 and is the Chief Operating Officer. Terri has over 20 years of experience in the management and operations of community healthcare and dental care. She earned her Associate in Business Science from Granite State College and completed the Leadership Development Program from Bi-State Primary Care Association. Terri has a strong interest in programs that focus on the needs of the community, especially programs that assist the most vulnerable. She strives to create a work environment that builds strong teams by leveraging employees’ strengths while always focusing on providing exceptional service to our patients.

 

Jody Pollack Human Resources Director

Human Resources Director​

Jody Pollack has been with Lamprey Health Care since 2007. She studied Business Management with a concentration in Human Resources at Southern New Hampshire University. She was appointed Director of Human Resources in 2018. Ms. Pollack has over 25 years of experience in HR roles with progressively increasing scope in all stages of the employee life cycle. Her passion is to assist others in building successful careers in community healthcare. With a focus on mission and values, Jody recruits and drives employee retention through the development and implementation of HR best practices to make Lamprey Health Care an employer of choice.

 

Paula Smith MBA, Ed.D, Director of Southern NH Area Health Education Center

Director of Southern NH Area Health Education Center​

Dr. Smith has led activities of the Southern New Hampshire Area Health Education Center, a program of Lamprey Health Care, since its inception in 1998. In this role, she is responsible for program development, financial management, and overseeing staff who work to recruit and retain a workforce to increase access to quality healthcare in southern NH. Dr. Smith has been instrumental in developing programs that enhance workforce diversity, communication access, and cultural effectiveness for over twenty years. In 2020, Dr. Smith established the SNHAHEC Center for Cultural Effectiveness, which houses interpretation and community health worker training, workforce diversity programs for youth, the Diversity and Cultural Competence Trainers’ Circle, and the Equity Leaders Fellowship Program. She is the Contract Administrator for the Seacoast Public Health Network and the Administrative Director of the Lamprey Health Care Nurse Practitioner Fellowship Program.
