NASHUA, RAYMOND & NEWMARKET, NH – At a time when finding a primary care provider has become increasingly challenging across New Hampshire and throughout the country, Lamprey Health Care is introducing an innovative solution designed to remove barriers to care and connect patients with healthcare services immediately.
Beginning in late September, Lamprey Health Care will offer a new Same-Day Registration & New Patient Appointments allowing eligible new patients to walk into any Lamprey location, register as a patient, and be seen by a healthcare provider on the same day during designated walk-in hours, regardless of their ability to pay.
The initiative reflects Lamprey Health Care’s commitment to addressing one of the most pressing healthcare issues facing New Hampshire families: timely access to primary care. Hilary O’Neil, COO Lamprey Health Care had this to say, “Across New Hampshire, too many individuals and families are struggling to find a primary care provider when they need one most. At Lamprey Health Care, we believe access is the foundation of excellent healthcare. When someone decides it’s time to get care, establish a medical home, or address a health concern, they shouldn’t face weeks of waiting and uncertainty. Health care should be ready when patients are ready. This initiative removes barriers, creates immediate access, and strengthens the connection between our community and the high-quality primary care they deserve.”
As New Hampshire communities continue to experience provider shortages, workforce challenges, and growing demand for primary care services, patients often struggle to find a medical home that can see them quickly. Lamprey Health Care’s new model removes many of the traditional barriers to entering the healthcare system.

- Same-day new patient registration
- Same-day provider appointments during designated walk-in hours
- Adult and pediatric primary care services
- Access regardless of insurance status

- Care coordination, support services and access to resources.

The program also aligns with Lamprey’s broader commitment to addressing social determinants of health. Through partnerships with Gather and community food distribution initiatives, residents may be able to access food resources and healthcare services in a single visit.
