Community Health Worker

Pronouns: she/her/hers

LHC: Tell us a little about yourself. Where did you grow up? How did you get here?

Carli: I grew up in Raymond and have always enjoyed being involved in the community here. From growing up in the fire department family, being a member of RCFY as a student and now as an adult, and working as a community health worker here at Lamprey Health Care. Helping people has always been my passion and being able to incorporate that in my profession within my community is truly a blessing.

LHC: What do you like most about working at Lamprey Health Care?

Carli: My favorite part of working at Lamprey Health Care is the care we provide to our patients. We can provide something special here. We treat not only medical needs but also provide wrap-around care in so many ways. From our care coordination to our integrated clinics and mobile health unit. What we provide to our patients is remarkable.  I can’t not mention our “staff family” as well, I have felt like I belong here from day one. I get to come in and work alongside some amazing individuals whom I am lucky to call my work family. These are the best coworkers around!!

LHC: Did you always want to work in healthcare? What would you do if you weren't doing this?

Carli: I never wanted to work in healthcare, it was not an interest of mine. I always wanted to work in public service but never knew where that would lead me. I spent some time working in the school district and mental health care. Landing here was by chance, I had a friend working here who told me about an open position for a community health worker and I had no idea what that was. I decided to give it a try and it was one of the best choices I have made.  If I weren’t here I would continue my education to obtain my Special Education Certificate and work with high school students with behavioral needs.

LHC: What are some of your favorite things to do outside of work?

Carli: Outside of work I enjoy hanging out with my family, I have two children Trenton and Savannah, and two dogs, Blue and Winnie. We can often be found around our new house or at a sporting event. Whenever we can get some time away you will find us in our favorite vacation spot in Florida.

LHC: What advice would you give to others to be healthy?

Carli: My best advice for being healthy is to be HAPPY! I believe that happiness is the most important part of life. Learn to be happy where you are and then choose to take steps to move forward in ways that you find personally rewarding.

LHC: Bonus Question: Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Carli: I am going to add a Healthy Lives shout-out here! Lamprey Health Care has recently begun working with the state of New Hampshire to provide this wonderful program to our patients! We can offer some great healthy behavior support programs to patients with certain chronic illnesses.
