Raymond, NH – July 24, 2024 – The Consortium for Advanced Practice Providers is pleased to announce that Lamprey Health Care’s Family Nurse Practitioner Fellowship Program has been granted programmatic accreditation for the full period of three years, effective July 11, 2024.
“We are very excited to receive this recognition as we have operated the Fellowship since 2017 and have strived to develop a comprehensive workforce development program for Nurse Practitioners transitioning from education to practice,” stated Paula Smith, MBA, EdD, Administrative Program Director. This accreditation is a significant milestone, demonstrating the program's adherence to national standards for quality and its commitment to excellence in advanced practice provider education.
Public notice and a detailed news announcement regarding the accreditation are available on the Consortium for Advanced Practice Providers’ website.
“The NP Fellowship Team has worked hard to document all the standards to showcase Lamprey Health Care’s commitment to developing the competence and confidence of new nurse practitioners,” shared Rosemary Smith, APRN, Clinical Director of the Fellowship.
By pursuing and achieving accreditation, Lamprey Health Care’s Family Nurse Practitioner Fellowship Program has shown its dedication to providing a high-quality educational experience for its fellows.
A three-year accreditation reflects the program's success in undergoing a rigorous peer review process. During the accreditation site visit on June 6-7, 2024, a team of surveyors, led by the Consortium, confirmed the program's commitment to quality, measurable outcomes, and accountability.
The surveyors found that Lamprey Health Care’s Family Nurse Practitioner Fellowship Program met all eight accreditation standards. The final report includes specific recommendations and opportunities for improvement, ensuring that the program continues to evolve and enhance its offerings.
